About Us

Five Group, with its head office based in Perth, WA, is the parent entity for a group of subsidiary engineering, surveying, and architectural drafting companies throughout Australia and South East Asia.

Our initial vision was to expand our first company, Structerre Consulting, geographically to provide engineering services nationally. Beginning in 1980, the company expanded its reach nationally through a number of strategic acquisitions. As we continued to grow, a Board of Directors were nominated and the Five Group subsequently evolved.

Further expansion of the Five Group led to establishing a presence throughout Australia and diversifying our industry exposure by adding surveying and architectural drafting to the mix.

Fast forward to 2023 and our vision now is to not just be a provider of professional services, but to be an industry benchmark, with elite national brands providing exceptional service and experiences. 

With that vision in mind, Five Group continue to seek opportunities that fundamentally and culturally fit within the business models that exist within all companies of the Five Group.

Structerre are a national multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy that focuses on the success and fulfilment of clients and employees. From structural engineering design and documentation to inspections and certifications, Structerre is a one-stop shop providing a complete service from the ground up.

ESO Surveyors

ESO Surveyors offer a range of surveying services for the construction industry. They specialise in the survey needs associated with Road Construction, Bridge Construction, Building Construction, 3D Laser Scanning, Renewable Energy, Pipeline Construction, Control Networks and Civil Construction.

Residential Engineering

Residential Engineering (RE) has been helping clients design and break ground on their homes for over 40 years, offering a full range of professional services for residential projects. They offer a range of services including Geotechnical, Energy Assessments, Surveying, Drafting and Engineering.

VNIX

VNIX has spent over 13 years partnering with Australian high volume builders. Leveraging on BIM, architectural and construction companies can now outsource their drafting and design work efficiently, enabling them to focus on their core business.

L+R

L+R is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with 40 years experience. Providing an array of services ranging from civil, infrastructure or transport engineering through to defence consulting, environmental management advice and more, our team are geared to administer both specific aspects or a total package of professional, scientific, and management services.

L+R Airport Consulting

L+R Airport Consulting is the specialist airport and aviation division of L+R

We regularly assist airport owners and operators, airlines, government agencies, construction companies, property developers and other consultants with a wide range of specialist airport and aviation related professional services.

Meet Our Board

Gervase Purich
Managing Director

Gervase has over 40 years of experience in the field of Engineering, Construction and Management.

Having established Structerre Consulting in 1980, his background and passion is a fusion of engineering and farming; the latter being a result of some 40 years of extensive hands-on experience, diversifying his personal working farm of beef cattle, to the production of olive oil, honey and citrus. This has given him a good degree of common sense and a down to earth approach, which clients have always placed a high value on.

In 2006, Gervase was recognised for his outstanding commitment and contribution to the building and construction industry, receiving the Robert Law Award.

 

Peter Hatfull

Non-Executive Chairman

Peter has over 30 years experience in a range of senior executive positions with Australian and international companies. He has an extensive skill-set in the areas of business optimisation, capital raising and company restructuring.

Peter has held senior financial and Board positions in Australia, Africa and the UK. He has particular experience in revitalising business plans, attracting investor funding and implementing profitable strategies.

Peter graduated as a Chartered Accountant in the United Kingdom, where he worked for Coopers and Lybrand and subsequently moved to Africa, where he spent 8 years in Malawi, as CFO of the Malawi operation of international trading group, Gutheri Limited. Peter moved to Perth in 1988.

 

Michael Swarts

Executive Director

Michael has a diverse background, extending from experience in the building and aviation industries, and ultimately becoming the Chief Financial Officer of the wider Structerre group.

Michael has proven himself to be good under pressure and with a sound understanding of the building industry, his experience is unique and specific, making him a 20+ year landmark of Structerre.
